Potential solution.
For those outside SE London the closure of Lewisham A&E is controversial because they’ve spent loads of money doing it up (c £300m) and also it will almost certainly eave shortfalls in care in an area where population is increasing fast. There’s been a big campaign against it (randomly led by Millwall FC (www.savelewishamhospital.com)
Forgot to say Lewisham isn’t part of the failed Trust and is a Trust in its own right which is currently performing well (financially and care wise), another reason why it is controversial.
